The other night I was at Trader Joe’s when my eyes landed on a bottle of bubbly. ”I think I need that.” I didn’t really know why, but I bought it, brought it home, and got it in to the fridge.
30 minutes later as I am shredding carrots I realize I have been in business 2 years. Yep, as of that very day. My intuition knew that bubbly was in order – but my brain was caught up in the daily hustle and bustle of simply keeping life rolling.
Would I forget my 2-year-old’s birthday? I don’t have one, but I’d like to think if I did I would certainly remember their birthday! Heck, I’m a celebrator – how could I miss this?
What else am I missing?
What are you missing?
At any rate, I got to take note, sip a glass of champagne, and wonder about where I might be in in another two years. I am still wondering about that too. Where will I be, what will life look like, will my clients be working on the same stuff? Will I be working on the same stuff? I kind of like not knowing because there is a lot of room for cool stuff to happen that we didn’t plan on. What I do know is that I will remember to come up from the lower decks, throw open the door and have a look at the big picture – it is, after all, what fuels our journey.
Thanks for joining me,
Caryn
