Because, MONDAY.
Monday never comes. Neither does January first. Or the day after your birthday. Or that day after your much needed vacation.
Those fictitious start dates that hold the promise of the new world are just that – fictitious!
You have proven to yourself, time and time again, that Monday – Monday, never comes.
So what are we going to do about that?
Show the f*ck up. Show up and be a grown up and learn again, for not the last time, that today is the only day you ever have and even when it is hard and even when you are tired (because everyday has some tired and some hard in it) you show up.
So, how do you do that, friend? You decide to do what is hard in the service of your own becoming.
Then you keep deciding. You keep showing up. You keep choosing the other thing. Not the thing you chose yesterday, because that is easy, those are habits and you are good at your habits, even when they hurt you.
If you want to be different you have to do different. This is one of those really important truthful things that sounds AMAZING! Then in reality is the hardest work you will do. There is no clocking out, you can’t quit this job – it is your birthright.
So, step up and make it happen or keep hoping that somehow you can figure out how to be different while remaining the same…
