Do you want to implement one of the top weight loss tools that I know about?

Good news – it’s free, you already know how to do it, and it’s something you get to add to your life, not something you have take away.

Sleep!

Yep. That’s it, and for the next week I challenge you to add one hour to your usual routine.

For most of us, our wake-up times are pretty set. What that tells me is you’ll likely have better luck crawling in bed an hour earlier than trying to sleep in.

So why talk about sleep when you just want to lose weight?  Sleep is one of those key ingredients your body needs to do the good work of releasing the excess.  Some people have trouble or can’t lose weight while they are over-tired. That’s why this is such a great place to start.

Want more reasons to fuel your sleep fire? The following are all easier the more rested you are:
• Food prep
• Planning ahead
• Making good decisions
• Being kind to your self
• Parenting/working/pretty much anything…

So, I ask you, can you make sleep a priority for one week?

I know that you are already thinking of all the reasons you can’t. Our brains are so good at pointing out how staying the same is easier than changing.

What obstacles are coming up? Plan for them to come up now, so when it is 9:03pm and you are tired you’ll know what to do. Better yet, what can you do before you hit the couch to ensure you are ready to get to bed and those obstacles aren’t obstacles?

What else do you need to do so that you can get to bed one hour earlier? Just for one week. Just to see what that gives you. Besides 7 extra hours of sleep, which, is an entire night. (I didn’t even get how powerful this was until I just wrote and re-read that…)

Let me know how this goes for you because I’m really curious what day 7 has in store for you.

Good night!

Caryn
