The idea that our brains are always working is not new to anyone. My question for you is:
What is your brain working on?
Our brains are smart, complex, and accommodating. They are full of ways to prove our thoughts right. So, what are you proving right?
For example: ”I’m never going to lose weight.” Is a thought, and if you think it often enough you will find tons of reasons why it is true (I never exercise, I eat too much, I fail every diet that I try…). Then there is proof and you believe it! Try this one: ”Why can’t I keep my house clean?” I watch too much TV, cook dinner at home, don’t have time, work too much, don’t have that cool new dusting product….
Good news is the other side is also true – and no, I am not talking about positive affirmations. I don’t do those.
“How can I make life better?” ”How can I lose weight?” ”How can I keep my house clean?” And then let your brain do the heavy lifting while you are doing other things. It will go to work for you, it will find ways to answer those questions for you. It will give you proof that what you are opening to is possible.
So consider it, notice what thoughts get a lot of play in your head that you want to change and try this out.
If you want to share your new thought, or want help shifting the old one leave a comment below. Thanks for playing!
