If you’re still here I feel pretty safe assuming that you have things in your life you’re working on. Maybe your weight, maybe the clutter in your garage, or maybe you wish you did more yoga – whatever it is it all requires one thing to get started.

Commitment.

Think about that thing, that result you’ve been intending to create, maybe it was your new years resolution or maybe it’s something that’s been nagging you from that to-do list in your mind for months…even years.

Got it clear in your head? Okay, grab the worksheet here so you can follow along:

Here’s an example:

1. What is your desired result? I want to lose 23 pounds.

2. Why? I want my clothes to fit better, I want more energy. I don’t want to get any bigger and I have that one suit that I looked great in at that weight – I’d love to wear that again.

3. What will it cost you if you don’t commit or follow through? Another whole round of expensive work clothes that I don’t fit in anymore. I’ll be disappointed in myself – again. I keep not feeling good in my skin. My health.

4. What must you believe? I’d have to believe I can do it.

5. How does it feel to believe it? Right now I don’t trust myself. I have tried to do this in the past and failed. I really want to believe I can do it.

6. What will you have to stop believing? I’d have to stop believing I can’t do it. I’d have to stop believing that there are reasons that make me special, that make weight loss impossible for me (I travel too much, it just doesn’t work for me, I have a slow metabolism, I can’t do it…)

This example show us what I hope you’ll find when you answer these questions for yourself – the thoughts that are keeping you stuck, that get in the way of making the commitment. You have to know what you believe that gets in the way of your making progress. Often times we have thoughts we believe that feel really smart and helpful, but that are keeping us stuck.

So, answer those questions, see what comes up. If you get stuck or want help put your question in the comments below and we can work on it together.

Have a great week!
