So, you’re going camping.

“Food!”

Was that your first thought too?

So, I’m going to tell you what I’m eating this weekend because it’s practical and useful and I know that some of you really like it when I actually tell you what I eat. ๐Ÿ™‚

Friday night:  Burger patty, potato salad, on a bed of romaine and arugula, some potato chips and of course, dark chocolate.

Saturday:  Coffee x 2.  Usually I add coconut and MCT oil and blend it up – but not in the wilds!  I’ll have a few spoonfulls of coconut butter with my coffee instead.  (Think peanut butter, but with coconuts.)

For lunch I hard boiled some eggs and I’ll have those or leftover breakfast protein with greens and spicy mayo as dressing along with some chips and salsa.

Dinner is Chicago dogs, so I’ll have one or two of those with a slaw like salad and any of the toppings that aren’t loaded with sugar, and of course no bun. Dark chocolate.

Sunday:  Repeat the coffee and get outta there!

What about drinking?!  Yes, I will be drinking, tequila, either on the rocks with lime with or without sparkling water.

So, what are you thinking?  “She’s not going to have any fun.” or “This gal is way to rigid, I’d never do that.” or “That’s not enough food.” or “Are you kidding me, where are the s’mores and cookies?!”

What you think about what you eat is important.  What you think about what I eat is less so – unless it teaches you something about your own thoughts and beliefs about food!  Do any of your thoughts surprise you?

Here is the deal about what you see above though, I am fat-adapted.  My body is able to burn fat for fuel.  This way of eating works really well for my body and makes me feel good.

If you’re curious about shifting your body to fuel itself on fat instead of carbohydrates I’d encourage you to check it out.  That is what the live video I did last week was all about – you can see it HERE.  There’s also a free tip sheet you can download with all the notes.

I’d love to hear what you think about the above, there are no wrong answers!  Comment below.

Happy Camping!
